Data to Use in Valuesoft
There are many sources of data that can be used
with Valuesoft functions in Excel.
Free Data
The examples of Valuesoft templates
describe some sources of free data and the way the data can
be used.
Sometimes the same site provides data for companies
listed on the main exchanges in other countries by applying
a prefix or a suffix to the ticker symbol. For example, on
MoneyCentral the symbol ARP gives data for the US company
American Reprographics Co while the symbol AU:ARP gives data
for the Australian company ARB Corporation. On the Yahoo finance
site and the Google finance site, the symbol for ARB corporation
is ARP.AX.
Instead od modifying the compnay symbol, you
can use sites such as Yahoo which have special web sites for
other couintries

Yahoo: Yahoo
has finance sites for most developed countries. For example,
the link for the US is: http://finance.yahoo.com/, the link
for Canada is http://ca.finance.yahoo.com/,and the link for
Australia is: http://au.finance.yahoo.com/
MoneyCentral:
This collection of sites is run by Microsoft. The link for
the US is: http://moneycentral.msn.com/, the link for Canada
is http://money.ca.msn.com/ and the link for the UK is: http://money.uk.msn.com/
In Australia, Microsoft combines with PBL media to manage
the finance site: http://money.ninemsn.com.au/
Google:
The link for the Google's main finance site is: http://www.google.com/finance
TheStreet:
The link for this site is http://www.cnbc.com. It is site
is run by TheStreet.com, Inc, an independent company that
sources its data from a number of separate data suppliers
including Interactive Data and Morningstar
CNBC: The
link for this site is http://www.cnbc.com It is run by CNBC
a satellite and cable television business news channel.
Commercial Data
The data from Valueline can be exported to a
spreadsheet.
